Nick McCabe

Chief Executive Officer, Hakkasan Group

As Chief Executive Officer of Hakkasan Group, Nick McCabe is responsible for overseeing the company’s entire global portfolio of nightlife, daylife and restaurant brands while simultaneously managing the perpetual growth of the prestigious hospitality portfolio. McCabe inherited the highest executive honor in 2017 after successfully serving as President and COO of the company for four years. McCabe’s promotion to CEO came as a natural next step for the hospitality leader, as he truly encapsulates the core values of Hakkasan Group, which is consistently displayed through his strong work ethic, cutting-edge vision for the latest trends in entertainment, and motivation to lead the brand to reach its highest level of success.

McCabe joined Hakkasan Group in 2013 following its acquisition of Angel Management Group (AMG), bringing more than 15 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry to the company. Since joining the business, he has overseen the global expansion of the company’s portfolio, which is expected to grow exponentially throughout the coming years. Hakkasan Group currently operates 60 venues spanning across four continents, with upcoming openings slated for Jakarta, Bali, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

After graduating with honors with a degree in graphic design from the University of Teeside, McCabe sought to transform the nightlife scene in Miami after launching an innovative nightlife and lifestyle website, CoolJunkie.com. The portal quickly became a hit within the local scene and spread nationally through satellite sites in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The success of the website caught the attention of Track Entertainment, where McCabe became partner and served as Chief Creative Officer in 2005 after the company acquired his vision. During his time there, McCabe oversaw an array of large-scale projects for well-known brands including Pepsi, Bacardi and T-Mobile, while also assisting in the development of various entertainment websites.

Following his role with Track, McCabe created a series of extremely popular ‘B-Live’ music festivals for Bacardi in 2006. This inspired him to begin his own music marketing company, The Big Idea, in 2007. Through this new business, he continued to work on Bacardi B-Live in conjunction with Las Vegas-based entertainment and nightlife company Angel Management Group, helmed by Neil Moffitt, before deciding to join the AMG team full time.

McCabe took on the role of Vice President of Strategy during his time with AMG, where he championed business development and company strategy while also playing a leading role in securing projects such as various business acquisitions and large-scale openings. Following its acquisition of AMG in 2013, McCabe took the role of President and COO of Hakkasan Group, where he successfully monitored the development of several business ventures, such as the openings of world-class nightclubs Hakkasan, OMNIA, and JEWEL in Las Vegas, the acquisitions of Enlightened Hospitality Group, H.Wood Group and The Light Group, and the expansion of the company’s brand portfolio worldwide.

McCabe’s widespread experience in the nightlife industry will undoubtedly play a significant role in his destined success as CEO of Hakkasan Group, where he will act as the figurehead to oversee the continuation of the distinguished brand’s global growth.
